Aftermath introduced a first-person mode for players to experience the game with for the first time. World War Z is a first-person zombie (Zeke) shooter developed by Saber Interactive. It’s very reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. Everything you can do in Left 4 Dead and more is in this game. World War Z is a love letter to the fans, it’s a much more modern and updated version of an already great game. There are many similarities that aren’t just “they’re both zombie games”. Like how there are some parts of the level that you have to hold your ground and use turrets to keep zombies back. Both games also have a great co-op that goes up to four players online. If you don’t have enough players an NPC will take the place of the other player so you won’t be left for dead against the many zombies that will bombard you. And trust me, this game can be difficult. When we first started playing we didn’t realize we were on the more difficult option until we failed the first mission three times, we had to put the difficulty down just so we could properly get through the game! World War Z does an incredible job at giving the players a “Oh Shit” moment when the screen get completely flooded with running zombies, making you and your team scramble to battle positions.
A Game of the Year Edition was released on 5 May 2020, and includes new weapon and character packs, a new three-mission PvE episode set in Marseille, France, as well as all previously released downloadable content. Alongside the reveal of the Game of the Year Edition, a Nintendo Switch port was announced. Matt Karch, the CEO of developer Saber Interactive, called getting the game to run on Nintendo’s console “the hardest thing that we have had to do”. It was released on 2 November 2021.

In August 2015, Funcom announced a new spin-off of The Secret World, in the form of The Park, a short experimental horror game created by Funcom. The Park is set in The Secret World universe and uses both locations and characters seen in the main game. The game was released on October 27, 2015. A Secret World tie-in mission called The Seven Silences continues the story of the Park and was available every year during Halloween. The mission is currently not available in Secret World Legends.
They’ll continue to live on the old TSW servers, so you’ll still be able to log in and play them. You will not be able to play them on the new Secret World Legends server though. It’s a new experience and fresh start for everyone.
When you consider all that, it isn’t surprising that TSW underperformed at launch, which led to a downward spiral that almost killed Funcom entirely. The company suffered massive layoffs. The lead developer of TSW left to develop single-player games. The CEO resigned and was eventually charged with and convicted of insider trading.
Funcom and Rock Pocket Games have announced that another spin-off game will be released on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 during Halloween 2019. The game was revealed to be Moons of Madness, a first-person, story-driven cosmic horror game, which takes place on Mars, and deals with the Secret World’s Orochi Group.
Unlike many other MMORPGs, there is no need to stop to use most of a character’s attacks and abilities; as a result, combat is faster and movement-based. The character is free (and at higher levels, occasionally obliged) to redevelop their abilities on the go, to better prepare themselves for specific threats or better integrate into a group. Unlike traditional MMORPGs, advancement is primarily through equipment, using experience points to buy additional abilities and more powerful weapons.
